**I posted this a month ago.   It needs to come to the front again.**

I have been saving a Bill Moyers’ Journal program about the one person play about Rachel Carson for a while now.  I finally sat and watched it.  Aside from it  being a fabulous program about the play, there was a quick article at the end about Chris Jordan, photographic artist.

I have  to showcase his art.  It is amazing, horrifying, truthful, provoking.

Here are some links about Chris Jordan. Worth a jaw dropping look.

  1. Oh My Gosh ! This is amazing! Thanks Leslie!

and I am so sorry I missed out on the Moyers program …. I do very much like lots of the stuff he puts out there! I’ll visit all the links here.

(however Goldwater never forgave Moyers…. held him responsible for the campaign ad depicting the little girl and daisies followed by the atomic blast)

  2. Hi Kat! I sort of ’stepped on’ this post by adding another one so soon afterwards. I may bring it forward again and repost it, because I feel it is something everyone should absorb. I was stunned when I saw this.
I found the link to the Moyers program clip to be difficult for me to load, so I left it to the intrepid to do for themselves. I hope people view the interview with Jordan.
    I like Moyers.

  4. Did you ever see the Moyer video on poets… The Power of the Word… there were several poets profiled that I really liked heaps (I am sorry not to be poetic at this moment :-> I am being quick instead) and one I adored.

  6. Hey Kat,
Jackson Pollock comes to mind when I look at Jordan’s work, too. :)
I did not see the Moyers program on Poets.
His Power of Myth with Joseph Campbell was fascinating. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Campbell
